At noon on November 24, the Evidence-based Research Center for Education Assessment (ERCEA) held a regular seminar in the Old Science and Technology Building. The seminar was chaired by Professor Huang Jinyan and attended by Associate Professor Kang Cui, Professor Zhang Li, and six graduate students from the Research Center.
The theme of this conference was “Research Measurement Tool Development and Validation.” Professor Huang Jinyan introduced the three stages of measurement tool development and verification, including the overall design and preparation stage, tool development and testing stage, and the final verification stage of the tool. He emphasized some problems that should be addressed in developing research tools. In addition, Professor Huang also used examples to explain the development and verification of research tools so that the postgraduate students attending the conference have a deeper understanding and mastery of research tools.
